So, the new Godaddy Superbowl commercials are out after 10 previous rejections from Fox (imagine that!). The commercials look great and will definitely have viewers eyes glued to the television. Hell, aren’t commercials the reason we watch the Superbowl anyways? One “online” term comes to mind after seeing Godaddy’s “offline” commercial: Linkbait! And it’s fabulous! Danica Patrick’s Exposure is sure to get some visitors to the site. I saw Bob Parsons on the Donny Deutsche Show awhile back. He is a marketing genius and a down to earth kind of guy. I wouldn’t expect anything less. Well done, Bob and Co., well done. -Go Giants!

Purchasing domains with existing PR - Beware
I’ve spoke of this before in other forums and even wrote a guide on Ebay about this. But, it is a topic that really bothers me.
We all know the importance of having a trusted page in your arsenal. I won’t get into the debate (yet) of whether or not PageRank is important. Forums, Ebay: You can always find someone selling a domain name that has PageRank; or so it may seem. Visual PR is completely different than actual. If you think about purchasing a domain with PR, please be sure to check whether the page is “fake” or not. Basically, the owner of the domain will redirect the domain to a page with PageRank. On the next update, the page will show a visual PR matching that of the site of the redirect. Pretty sneaky and pretty pathetic. So, some unexpecting buyer will pay top dollar for a domain that has no worth. Please, check for fake PR before purchasing a domain or even purchasing a link on a page with PR. Just type in “fake pr checker” into your browser and you will find a good selection. I will probably be adding one here soon.
